The Political Section monitors, analyses and reports to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and other UK Government Departments (and to the Devolved Administrations, where appropriate) on political developments in Albania and Albanian Foreign Policy.  We work closely with Albanian Ministries and other organisations on political, institutional and foreign policy issues. 

Members of the Political Section also lobby the Albanian Government to ensure the UK Government’s position is well understood or to support British positions on United Nations and other foreign policy issues.  Bilateral diplomacy involves maintaining close contacts with the Albanian Government, Parliamentarians and other opinion formers. 

The Political Section also manages a number of projects designed to support British objectives in Albania, including supporting Albania's reforms, and developing effective cooperation against organised crime.
